My N95 got problem yesterday. It display went blank or jitters and comes back after few seconds when you press keys on the display (green, red, multimedia etc). The keys on the keypad below does not effect the display.I went to Mobilezone office in Gulberg to get it repaired. According to them it is software/firmware problem. Let see what they say next. I will get it back on Sat 21 July. Will post further when I got my phone back.
Mean while I am using Nokia 6300. Its excellent phone. Highly Recommended. In many ways it is better than N95 if you use it as phone and multimedia stuff like listening music through A2DP bluetooth profile. Everything seems to be quite easy in this phone.Caller logs, Messaging and Contacts are way better in this phone as compared to N95

Update:

I go my N95 back from Mobilezone. It is working perfectly OK. May be they replaced its display because the Screen Protector is gone which I installed earlier

If you want to send your Symbian Bluetooth Application to another mobile then you have to use ActiveFile. This is the one which can send protected application to other mobile phones. It has also two tabs at the top just like old Norton Commander two panes. It is very good application and it is FREE. One important thing is you need to sign this application.

Series 60 v 3 phone having Symbian OS 9.1 have a separate storage memory other than RAM. RAM is used to run your programs. It was practice before to install programs on Memory Card but with New Series Phone, I recommend to install program on Phone Memory and their is plenty of it. The other advantages are:

  1. When you remove memory card your programs will be there.
  2. Your Phone will run faster. Program opens up instantly.
  3. You can even swap cards to have more memory.

Keep your songs, pictures and videos on memory card.

Opera Mini 4 Beta (iPhone like Browser)If you surf Web from your Mobile then I recommend to install Opera Mini 4 Beta. I just installed it on My N95 and its quite amazing. It has Mouse Pointer. You are presented with a preview of whole web page you can zoom in section of web pages just like iPhone Web Browser. Context toolbar and Fit to Width, not to mention it is fast.

Opera Mini is my default browser when I surf site with lots of images, as it compress images before sending it to your mobile. You can also change image setting to high which doubles the bandwidth. Highly Recommended. You can download it here.

Parallels Desktop 3.0 arrives June 15, 2007

Parallels Desktop, quite successful Virtual Machine to run Windows has come up with new release 3.0. Which adds additional features to its already excellent coherence and CD Burning support.

Now it has 3D and much enhanced File Sharing features. If you are using old 2.0 version than your virtual operating system file will be updated upon installation.

You can not go back to version 2.0 unless you make a copy of file. Windows Program on Mac are one click away. I have successfully Flashed my Nokia N95 and N73 through Windows XP running inside Parallesl Desktop. Amazing is’nt it.

TiP: I often suspend VM so that when I need the Windows it comes up in no time and in suspended state it does not occupy memory or processor, just a hard disk space.
