In Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 Bluetooth send file will fail from any Handset.
Reason & Resolution:
In OS X Leopard Bluetooth File Sharing is disabled by default. You need to turn it on in Preference -> Sharing Tab

Great Leopard.

Thanks a lot. I was blaming my new N95, until I tried with my old 6680, that had been sending files without a problem for ages. I then guessed it had something to do with Leopard. Google returned this page as the first match, and voilà! Thanks again.
Thanks,
I had to check the Bluetooth sharing option in Sharing System Preferences.
Bluetooth OS X…
Holy cow, this took me far too long to locate. Why is OSX’s ability to receive files via Bluetooth hobbled under the sharing settings?

Will try this when I get home. Thanks a lot. 🙂
Bob ON!
What great log you have here! I’m going to link here from mine!
You are the Mac-Shizzle! I love my Nokia N90 and loved Blue-toothing pics to my Mac “Daily” but the new and awesome Leopard forced me to connect with usb. Just like my initial keyboard challenges, I now see it was I not Apple that stuttered. Thanks!!!
